Breakaway Cat Collar - Quick-Release Safety Buckle

This is the one piece of cat equipment where the safety feature is the entire product.

Cats climb, squeeze through gaps and go under fences. A collar that doesn't release will hold a cat by the neck when it snags on a branch or a fence post. Cats have been strangled by ordinary dog-style collars, and they have also caught a front leg through one and injured a shoulder badly.

Fitting it

Two fingers should slide flat under the collar. Any looser and a leg goes through it; any tighter and it rubs.
